APHIPAR-M is a parasitoid that can be uses for the biological control of peach aphids. The product is mainly suitable for use in greenhouses. A 250 ml bottle contains mummies from which about 5000 parasitoids hatch.
This product contains the parasitic wasp Aphidius matricariae; which can be uses in the biological control of aphids. APHIPAR-M works especially well in greenhouses against tobacco peach and green peach aphid. The product has a side effect on cotton lice.
How does APHIPAR-M work?
The adult female parasitic wasps parasitize the aphids. They deposit one egg per aphid. After about a week; the aphid swells and turns into a leathery grey-brown mummy. About 10-14 days after release; the young parasitoids emerge through a round hole at the back of the mummy. The new generation of parasitoids will start to search for aphids to parasitize; which leads to a further reduction of the pest population.
How to combine APHIPAR-M?
APHIPAR-M works well with other control agents against aphids; such as APHIDEND; CHRYSOPA or ADALIA larvae. These three products are predators and are therefore very suitable for cleaning up aphid hot spots. The parasitic wasps from APHIPAR-M are great searchers and can detect and parasitize the more widespread aphids. That is why the combination of predators and parasitic wasps ensures effective control of aphids.

Scatter the contents of the bottle between the plants.
You can also use small cardboard boxes hanging in the plants (e.g. DIBOX)
Make sure it does not get wet.
Leave the material a couple days to ensure all pupae are hatched.
