What does PROPYLEA QUATUORDECIMPUNCTATA look like? 

This 4-6 mm large ladybird is easy to distinguish from other species by its yellow color with black dots. The spots are rectangle which makes the pattern of the ladybird look like a chess board. Within the species there is variation; many individuals are yellow with black dots, while some individuals have very large black dots resulting in a black with yellow dots appearance. The larvae are slim, gray with yellow areas and black spots.
