How does APHISCOUT work?

Adult female parasitoids parasitize aphids. The parasitized aphids will bulge and turn into leather-like, black, gray or brown mummies. The first mummies can be found in the crop about two weeks after deployment. The colour and shape of the mummies will depend on which species of parasitoid has parasitized the aphid. For example, P. volucre can be recognized by the pupae that appears underneath the aphid. Other parasitoids develop inside the parasitized aphid. Adult parasitoids will eventually emerge from the mummies in search of new hosts.

When is APHISCOUT applied?

The product can be used to control most common aphid species. It is recommended to use APHISCOUT preventive when aphid damage is low. Use the label to attach the product in the crop by removing the outer layer of the label from the right upper angle. Place the tube horizontal by wrapping the label around plant or greenhouse parts. Turn the cover to open the small holes on the opening of the tube.
